synopsis

Physeter was one of the rocky planets at Tau Ceti. The four astronauts on the ship Magellan settled there and began their explorations. They had three years before the mission called for a return journey. But they were about to be interrupted.

Their sensors detected, and Frederick tracked, an incoming starship. It had somehow followed their own course from Sol system and was due to come into Physeter’s orbit in only a few months. And it was immense! Yet there had been no communication. What could it be its mission? What could it be carrying? Friend or foe?

The four explorers had to prepare. This had definitely not been part of their mission training.
