Outbound

Book One of the Merimnae Saga

William Altmann

synopsis

It was a long journey but the plan was to be asleep nearly the whole time. That ended when the system detected the turmoil in Henry’s biometrics. Afflicted by unbidden dreams of things he’d never experienced, he tried to diagnose himself while the ship hurtled onward. One by one, he wakened his three fellow astronauts, hoping that together they could solve his problem before he went mad!

What was causing these unreasoning fears? Could Constance get to the root of it and provide a treatment? For how long could Henry contribute to the mission?

Even when they entered the heliosphere of Tau Ceti, he was no better. Something drastic had to be done.
