Poems of Waiting

By Violeta Altmann

As I compiled my sporadic poems of two years, I realized they are soaked in anxiety and depression, but they are also layered with hope and transformed by faith. These are psalms of waiting which in retrospect all make sense.

They are raw, and a declaration of faith in dark times, lived honestly with my community and kids. And they reflect an intense season of parenting during the pandemic, of waiting to adopt and then adapting to change.
